Hillsboro Home Remodeling Show brings inspiration under one roof

As the weather cools down and you spend more time inside, you may start thinking about improvements you want to make in your home. Look no further than the Hillsboro Home Remodeling Show November 14-16 at the Wingspan Event Center, produced by Oregon Hearth and Home Events and sponsored by Mattress World Northwest.

“The Portland Metro Area keeps growing, and with a beautiful venue like the Wingspan Event Center, it seemed like a natural fit to start a home show in Hillsboro,” says owner Kelly Tynon. She and co-owner Rich Simons produce a fall and spring ‘Heart of the Valley’ Home Show in Albany. After acquiring the business in January 2023 from the previous owner, they rebranded as Oregon Hearth & Home Events and hit the ground running. Last year they moved their Salem show to the Polk County Fairgrounds “to better serve West Salem and the outlying communities,” says Kelly. “We found we like producing shows closer to where people live, as opposed to where they work.”

Now they are expanding outside of their home base in the mid-Willamette Valley with the addition of two home shows in Hillsboro. “There is only so much you can learn about a business via their website, and we know customers appreciate the opportunity to speak with owners and operators face-to-face before inviting them into their home,” says Rich.

According to Kelly, they enjoy producing events where home service businesses can showcase their products and services to thousands of potential customers over one weekend. “With everyone leading such busy lives, our goal is to maximize everyone’s time,” says Kelly. Whether you need to hire a remodeling contractor, research solar panels, compare gutter protection companies, or purchase home decor items like original artwork or handcrafted gifts, Kelly says you’ll find it at the show.

Admission is $5 at the door or you can receive a $1 admission voucher by registering at OregonHearthandHomeEvents.com. Attendees can enter to win door prizes such as a Blackstone Grill, Top Golf gift card, backyard patio heater, and more.
